  On Tuesday, Pune reported five new cases of Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS), bringing the total number of affected individuals in the city to 197. The death toll remains at seven, with the latest casualty being a 37-year-old man who passed away on Sunday night.

According to the Times of India, most of the cases have been reported within Pune city limits, while neighbouring Pimpri Chinchwad has recorded 29 cases. However, unlike Pune, there has been no clustering of GBS cases in Pimpri Chinchwad.

GBS is an autoimmune disorder that causes the body's immune system to attack the peripheral nervous system, leading to severe complications.

 The Maharashtra Cyber Cell registered a case against the creators of India's Got Latent on Tuesday, following controversial remarks made by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia during his appearance on Samay Raina's YouTube show. These comments have led to widespread backlash online.

According to the Maharashtra Cyber Cell, 30-40 individuals have been booked in connection with the incident.

"A case has been filed against everyone involved from the first to the sixth episode of the show. Notices are being issued, and all those involved will be summoned to provide their statements," the Maharashtra Cyber Cell stated. the podcaster or the show’s hosts.

Allahbadia, who is popular for his motivational content and lifestyle-related discussions on his BeerBiceps YouTube channel, has faced scrutiny before for his offbeat style of humor. However, this latest incident has prompted authorities to step in. The Mumbai police are investigating the matter to determine if any laws were violated, particularly concerning the nature of the remarks made in a public broadcast.

Swati Maliwal, a Rajya Sabha MP, strongly criticized Atishi Marlena after her victory in the Kalkaji seat during the 2025 Delhi assembly elections.
